Mr. Rosenthal joined Saybrook shortly after its inception in 1990. He brings 29 years of experience in complex financings and restructurings as an advisor, operator and investor on the behalf of financial institutions, bondholders, private equity investors and on his own account in public and private enterprises. While head of Saybrook’s Restructuring Advisory Group from 1991 to 2006, Mr. Rosenthal was involved in dozens of workout situations and has had leadership roles in some of the largest and most complex restructurings in history, including Pacific Gas and Electric, United Airlines, and Foster Wheeler, $4B Engineering and Construction company. Prior to joining Saybrook in 1990, he founded and served as chairman and CEO of NetAir International Corporation, which became the nation’s largest non-scheduled certificated carrier. Mr. Rosenthal received a BA from California State University, Northridge and a JD from Southwestern University. Mr. Rosenthal serves on the boards of Accretive Solutions, Taylored Services, and Total Transportation Services, Bankruptcy Management Solutions, and AGY.
Mr. Slutsky is a private investor and serves on the board of directors of Ames. Previously, Mr. Slutsky was managing director of Sepulveda Capital, a merchant bank with emphasis in technology services and transportation. Prior to his tenure at Sepulveda Capital, Mr. Slutsky was vice chairman of Candle Corporation, a provider of systems management software. He was previously a senior executive with Kern Oil & Refining Company and Casey Company. Mr. Slutsky has held positions on the advisory board of Northwest Airlines and the boards of directors of AT Curd Builders and Red Cloud Capital. Mr. Slutsky graduated from Bowdoin College, Magna Cum Laude, and received a JD from Emory University.
Mr. Al-Alaoui joined Saybrook in 2011 as an Associate. Prior to joining Saybrook, Mr. Al-Alaoui was an analyst in the Capital Markets Group of Houlihan Lokey where he participated in public and private debt offerings. Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Al-Alaoui was an analyst in Libra Securities’ Corporate Finance Group. Mr. Al-Alaoui received a BS from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business. Mr. Al-Alaoui serves as the Chairman on the board of Something Sweet and formerly served on the board of directors of Western Emulsions.
Mr. Ur joined Saybrook in 2015. Prior to joining Saybrook, Mr. Ur was an analyst and an associate in the Financial Restructuring Group of Houlihan Lokey where he was involved in several in-court and out-of-court restructuring transactions across various industries. Mr. Ur received a BA from the University of California, Los Angeles
Mr. Jha joined Saybrook in 2015. Prior to joining Saybrook, Mr. Jha was an investment banking analyst for Lincoln International where he focused on executing mergers and acquisitions for leading middle market companies as well as private company capital raises and special situations advisory. Mr. Jha received a BA from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Mr. Pimentel is a finance executive with 25 years of experience predominantly in the consumer products space. Dan has held many senior finance roles over his career including Global Controller of the Disney Stores, VP Finance Commerce Division at Discovery Communications and most recently as SVP CFO / COO at a startup television network called Hub TV. Dan’s experience includes strategic and operational planning, forecasting, mergers / acquisitions, global ERP systems implementation and financial transformations for both domestic and internationally based businesses. Dan’s experience spans many industries including specialty retail, ecommerce, publishing, interactive gaming and consumer products licensing. Dan is a Chartered Accountant with 5 years of public practice experience in Canada, working at Arthur Andersen and KPMG.
